A Naive Fool: Character Bio.

Throughout her adventurous life, Luna, a gentle fairy of the shadow realm, has been haunted by terrifying visions of a restless spirit controlling her fate. Despite her master's relentless efforts to convince her that she was just a figment of his imagination, Luna's resolve to prove her existence, a testament to her resilience and fortitude, only grew stronger as the centuries passed. On a frosty winter evening, Luna executes a daring escape from her master's tomb, her heart brimming with the desire to live a life of her own by stealing a sacred pearl that sustains her malevolent master.

Once on her own, Luna hides the pearl upon a tiny fishing isle in the west of Egir sea. She is attacked by a demonic behemoth forged by her master's malice, who relentlessly hunts Luna for several seasons. Foolishly believing she had bested the beast within a blanket of shadow, Luna sneaks into the slumbering village with no trouble at all; however, in a twist of fate that could only be described as a cruel prank, a local thief shares the same desire to claim the very pearl that Luna's freedom depends on. Tapping into her mischievous side, which often gets her into trouble but also fuels her creativity and resourcefulness, Luna watches as Abe's willingness to start a petty and juvenile fight ignites an idea in Luna's passionate heart. All the while, the unseen eyes of her master watch over every one of Luna's actions.

Blind by entitlement and unseen guilt, Luna offers the thief the location where she had hidden this unholy pearl if he promises to allow them to be friends—despite his confusion, the thief agrees. But unbeknownst to either of them, this was the beginning of their paths down the dangerous road of purpose, choice, and self-atonement.

Meet Luna, a naive but mischievous fairy in my upcoming horror short story, The Visitor.
